The Oakland Athletics scored eighth runs in the seventh inning to extend there lead and pretty much put the nail in the coffin for the Los Angeles Angels on Monday night.  The Athletics went on to beat the Angels 14-2 as the A’s improved their record to 17-10 on the season.

The A’s pounded out sixteen hits and three home runs in the game. Daric Barton, Jack Hannahan, and Emil Brown all went deep in the game.  Barton and Brown both had three RBI in the game while Frank Thomas, Rajai Davis, and Ryan Sweeney all had two RBI each.  Chris Denorfia and Hannahan chipped in with one RBI as well.

Chad Gaudin pitched six innings and allowed five hits and two runs as he picked up his third win of the season.  Gaudin is now 3-1 on the season and  has been throwing the ball pretty good.    Andrew Brown and Dallas Braden pitched the final two inning and only allowed one hit.

How long can the A’s keep up the good play do you think?

The Oakland Athletics beat the Kansas City Royals 7-1 on Sunday to complete a three came sweep against the Royals.  The Athletics only allowed three hits and one run in the game as their record improved to 12-8 for the year.

Dana Eveland is now 2-1 for the year after his victory over the Royals.  He pitched for just over 5 and a half innings giving up 3 hits and a run before being relieved by Andrew Brown and Santiago Casilla

It was a big hitting night for the A’s as well with 2 batters, Rob Bowen and Jack Hannahan, each picking up a pair of RBIs while Chris Denorfia, Mark Ellis, and Bobby Crosby all finished with one RBI.

Now that the Athletics are done cleaning up the Royals, they are moving on to the Twins as they will battle them at home Tuesday night.

The Oakland Athletics struggled at the plate today against the Chicago White Sox as they lost 4-1.  The White Sox held the Athletics to only six singles in the game, and the only run the Athletics scored was in the 9th inning.

Dana Eveland took the lose and his record now stands at 1-1 on the season.  Eveland gave up four runs (three of them earned) in only 4.2 innings of play.  Joey Devine and Kirk Sarloos did pitch the final 3.1 innings without giving up a hit.

Emil Brown was the only Athletics hitter to record an RBI in the game.

The Oakland Athletics and the Toronto Blue Jays played 12 innings on Thursday night and the Athletics came out on top by the score of 3-2.  There was a scare in the bottom of the inning as the Blue Jays scored one, but the Athletics were able to hold on for the one run win.

Travis Buck had the big hit in the 12th inning as he double and scored two runs.  Without that hit I don’t know if the Athletics would have had enough to win the game in later innings.  Buckhad all three RBI’s for the Athletics.

Dana Eveland got the start for the A’s and did not allow a run in 6.1 innings of play.  Joey Devine picked up the win and Keith Foulke picked up the save.  The A’s bullpen did a pretty good job, atleats a good enough one to get the win.
