If your an A’s fan and you’re as upset as I am about how the A’s organization is being ran, read this article on Foxsports.com. Beane and Geren get doused, deservedly so.

This article really hasn’t stated anything I don’t already know. Beane is overrated, Geren is a puppet and “Moneyball” was a joke. The rest of league has passed by the A’s. Every other team walks better, hits better and produces runs better than the A’s. The main problem is Beane’s collection of average and below-average players. Players like Giambi, Hannahan, Crosby, Cunningham, and Barton are all struggling to hit .200 and Anderson, Springer and Casilla all have ERAs above 5. True, Beane has made some great moves like receiving Haren in the Mulder trade and receiving Outman in the Blanton trade. However, Outman will most likely be dealt in a few years and the return will probably be as bad as the one the A’s received in the Haren deal and other deals such as the Hudson and Ethier trades. Besides the trades, Beane’s worst move was the firing of Ken Macha and then the hiring of Bob Geren. Ken Macha is a great manager and one of the best managers the A’s have had. But he was fired and what for? He spoke out against Beane and Beane couldn’t control Macha. Beane needed a manager he could manipulate and one that wouldn’t speak out against him. As a result, Billy hired his friend Bob Geren, who is clueless as a manager and is not even respected by his own players. The frightening thing about it all, is there is no end in sight. Owner Lew Wolff has no control of the very team he owns. Billy takes advantage of this by hiring his friends to run a once successful and proud franchise into the ground. I am an A’s fan, but after seeing what’s going on, I’m starting to lose my faith in this team. Please Lew, if you care about winning take back your team or sell it to someone who will.

That was a funny read….as an A’s fan its pretty surprising you agree with the “journalist” said. Jesus christ if i could paid to write like that I would be a happy person. First off….four losing seasons in a row? so going to the ALCS is losing? yeah…..god fact checking idiot….thats the first thing you learn in journalism….FACT check. They have had three losing seasons, and if you dont see a future for the a’s with this rotation then you clearly don’t know baseball. He brings up some good points but most of it was rubbish. He says they got NOTHING back for Mulder…yet then he calls Haren one of the best pitchers they just traded away….oh wait….they got Haren for MULDER! lol Yes…they traded haren way too early…but they weren’t going to contend and the prospect hall they got was worth it. Journalist were calling that the best haul of prospects ever received in a trade.
Look, Im as frustrated with this team as the next person, and Geren has to go, but to say that they have no future? get a clue people.
