Regarding the closer, Geren said he likes having 2 or even 3 different closers -- the problem is that guys don't get adjusted to their roles and may not be ready to close on a given night if they were used in other than a closer role the days before. Bullpen by committee should be a last choice only when there is no one good closer. We have Bailey, so he should get that job consistently unless/until he proves he can't do it. Cardenas and Spencer or tearing up the lower minors so maybe that Blanton deal will work out.....
