Tommy Everidge was finally called up after Daric barton hit the DL and was forced into the lineup playing first. He came through with a big RBI double in the ninth that proved to ignite the three-run tying rally and force extras.

The offense pounded out 21 hits, five by Kennedy, four by Ellis, three by Cabrera and two by Garciaparra, Davis, and Sweeney.

Those on there way out:

Kennedy has been a stud since acquiring him, however, he’s perfect trade bait and most likely will be gone by the end of the week. Cabrera’s been on fire since the break earning him a ticket out as well. Anyone else guys? It’s reality. Wuertz has been a hot topic as well but it would be nice to see him stick around unless Beane is overwhelmed by a deal. Duke? Any takes?

I would love for them to unload Kennendy and Cabrera, and for me, the first person they should be looking to trade is Scott Hairston. The Phillies had interest in him when he was still a padre, so they should be looking to move him. He is not the player that his first half stats of this year have shown. His stock will never be as high as it is right now, so its a perfect time to move him.

Move Cabrera, keep Wuertz, sign Kennedey to another year, trade Hairston to SF for pitching, fire Geren. Good start, huh?
