The Oakland Athletics beat the Kansas City Royals 7-1 on Sunday to complete a three came sweep against the Royals. The Athletics only allowed three hits and one run in the game as their record improved to 12-8 for the year.
Dana Eveland is now 2-1 for the year after his victory over the Royals. He pitched for just over 5 and a half innings giving up 3 hits and a run before being relieved by Andrew Brown and Santiago Casilla.
It was a big hitting night for the A’s as well with 2 batters, Rob Bowen and Jack Hannahan, each picking up a pair of RBIs while Chris Denorfia, Mark Ellis, and Bobby Crosby all finished with one RBI.
Now that the Athletics are done cleaning up the Royals, they are moving on to the Twins as they will battle them at home Tuesday night.
