I played Highschool ball with Brett Wallace, and I have followed his career since. This guy is a big time hitter. He dominated high school, he hit 400+ his freshman year in the pac-ten and he has blasted through every level since. He is a pure hitter, no doubt about it. If there is anyway to get him I pray that Beane makes it happen. He has potential to be a Pujols type hitter. The icing on the cake, he is a life long A’s fan, who grew up in Sonoma Co.

Yeah, I’m not too big of a Gio Gonzalez fan either. I’m hoping Duchscherer gets healthy before his next start but that doesn’t look likely. Anyways, do you think the A’s might also receive a pitcher in the Holliday deal, since Outman is hurt for the year?

I was hoping that Geren would let Anderson stay in so he could finish the inning, but I am glad that he at least let Anderson throw over 100 pitches. It could have been worse, he could have pulled Anderson out of the game right when he got to 100, even if it happened during the middle of an at bat.
