As a fan of the past two decades, I've seen a number of second basemen come and go, players like Pat Kelly, Luis Sojo, Chuck Knoblauch, and Alfonso Soriano, and seen some spectacular plays from current second baseman Robinson Cano. Before these men became Yankees, these were the top players to play the position. Willie Randolph The all-time Yankees leader in games played at second base, Randolph played 1,688 games in 13 seasons in pinstripes, from 1976 to 1988.

Travis Buck signed with the Cleveland Indians on Dec. 21, 2010, hoping to get more playing time than he has in the four prior seasons with the Oakland Athletics. During those four seasons, he batted .250 with 18 home runs and 71 RBIs in 587 at-bats. As a career utility outfielder it is no wonder he began looking for better opportunities to get more playing time. At 26 years old, Buck still has plenty of years of baseball left. Buck has been beyond impressive this spring.

Jimenez showed he's set, pitching six shutout innings as a Colorado Rockies split-squad beat the Oakland Athletics 5-2 Sunday. "I am 100 percent ready for the season to start," Jimenez said.

If the Colorado Rockies are going to contend in the NL West, they'll need more pitching performances like the one Jason Hammel supplied Saturday night. Hammel tossed shutout ball and Carlos Gonzalez hit his first home run of the spring, sending Colorado to a 4-1 victory over the Oakland Athletics.
