Type A free agent signings have altered the 2011 MLB Draft order, as have compensation picks for unsigned first round players from the 2010 MLB Draft. Now we have the first official look at how things will shake out in the first round, especially how the Tampa Bay Rays will use the 2011 Draft to begin their rebuilding process. If you're old enough, you may remember the great Cincinnati Reds teams of the 1970s. Led by the likes of Joe Morgan, Johnny Bench, Tony Perez and Pete Rose, The Big Red Machine made four trips to the World Series ('70, '72, '75, '76) and fell short in two other seasons in which they made the NLCS (73, 79). Left-handed reliever Craig Breslow and the Oakland Athletics have agreed to a $1.4 million, one-year contract, avoiding arbitration. Breslow was the last of Oakland's arbitration-eligible players to agree. He also can earn a $25,000 performance bonus for finishing 25 games. Breslow made a team-leading 75 appearances for the A's in 2010, going 4-4 with five saves and a 3.01 ERA.
